Great paddle! Super lightweight

I recently upgraded to the Evolution Carbon paddle from Honu and it has been a game changer for my SUP sessions. It is incredibly light and makes paddling much more efficient and enjoyable. Didn’t know what I was missing out until I got this paddle.

I love the 3 piece design for easy travel and the included protective case is a great bonus. Shout out to Mark and Ryan as well, they were fantastic and really responsive with queries.

The paddle feels light and a real head turner. Giving it a 4 star because I think the heat shrink tubing should be replace with the one with glue inside to make it watertight.

Just buy it. You won't be disappointed.

I just started paddle boarding this season and fell in love with it. I decided to get a kick ass paddle and researched a lot. I love the paddle, it's light. Clean catch and release when paddling. Honu seems to have thought of everything with the design functionality.

Aesthetically speaking, the paddle looks great and minimalistic. I love the carbon fiber pattern. The layup of the carbon fiber is flawless.

Very stiff and ultralight

I own four of these paddles and that says pretty much everything about their quality and my degree of satisfaction. The ferrules are hexagonal and impossible to misalign when putting the pieces together or twist during paddling. The paddle is light enough that even my seven year old boy can use it but also very stiff due to the high grade carbon. I also like the colour and the simplicity of the graphic design, but this is only a personal preference. Highly recommended.

The Evolution Carbon paddle is a versatile paddle combining skilled craftsmanship, premium materials, and performance. The modern blade shape combines the control and predictability of a tear-drop-shaped paddle with the power generated by a square blade and now includes our precision Hex joint system that replaces the lower clamp.

The double dihedral blade profile is built around a high density PVC core, which creates this paddle's source of power and control. The dihedral shape on the back-side makes every blade stroke smooth and controlled without any feathering through the water—an essential feature for beginners and expert paddlers alike. The second dihedral profile on the front side provides the blades rigidity and transfers every ounce of power from the paddler to forward motion.

From our Evolution series, the Evolution Carbon paddle is constructed using aerospace grade pre-impregnated 12K carbon with a matte finish. This means that the carbon sheets include the perfect amount of resin, which is hand-pressed into the mold and cured under pressure and heat in an autoclave. This industry-leading process produces carbon structures that are ~30% lighter and stronger than standard carbon alternatives.

All orders are delivered in Australia via courier service. Orders over $100 are free. Orders less than $100 are charged at a flat rate of $15.

We are unable to deliver to PO Boxes.

Returns & Exchange

We guarantee your total satisfaction and offer a world-class returns policy. New, unused gear can be returned at any time for a full refund or exchange. Used gear must be returned within 30 days of delivery for store credit. Email us at hello@honuboards.com to arrange a return.

Gear must be returned in the condition you received it and with the original box and/or packaging, including manufacturer tags where applicable.

USED & UNDAMAGED

Boards, paddles or accessories will be issued store credit against alternative items. We will not accept the return of products damaged due to negligence or abuse. We can not accept returns without the original boxes.

Carbon Blades

Usually reserved for race cars and spacecraft, the Evolution paddle blades are crafted with pre-impregnated carbon that is then cured under pressure in an autoclave oven.

Anti-Twist
Handle

The carbon one-piece handle includes a grove and notch that keep the handle and blade aligned for quick and easy adjustments out on the water.

Perfect Fit
Hex-Joint

Replacing the standard rounded connection with an engineered hexagonal joint removes the need for a clamp and any possibility of the blade twisting in the shaft.

Double
Dihedral

This engineered shape provides strength, stability and power. Water pulls evenly across the blade without feathering, while the front dihedral provides the strength.
