What's in the pack

  • Byron 9'8 — our most-loved board. 4.7" thick so you ride closer to the water, 32" wide so you stay on it, and made smaller for lighter paddlers. Ships with backpack, leash, fin and 4-year Total Care warranty.
  • Element Paddle — 3K carbon shaft, 790g, and a nylon blade that's near impossible to kill. Breaks into three, comes with its own case.
  • Your choice of pump — the Honu Battery E-pump (12VDC or USB-C, with an internal battery), or the SUPer double-action hand pump with high-volume and high-pressure modes.
  • Kona 25 Dry Backpack — brand new, never bundled. Roll-top, taped seams, 450D ripstop. Towel, change of clothes, lunch, layers, two bottles. Everything the board doesn't carry.

Shaped like a classic longboard surfboard, the Byron is built to feel confidence-inspiring across the widest range of conditions, from calm water cruising to playful small-wave sessions. The 32" width carries forward without tapering away too early, giving you a stable, planted platform that feels predictable when the water gets bumpy. A squared-off tail adds even more stability and makes step-back turns feel approachable, so you can progress your technique without the board feeling twitchy or demanding.

LIGHT & RIGID

Strength without the weight.
The Byron hits the rare intersection of being genuinely lightweight, yet impressively rigid and responsive on the water, and that pairing is a big reason it’s loved worldwide. At just 7.6 kg (16.7 lbs), it’s easy to carry, pack, and move around on the beach, but once you’re paddling it feels crisp underfoot, not soft or springy. Every stroke feels more efficient, every weight shift more direct, and the board stays composed when conditions change.

Stand Closer

The Byron features a refined 4.7" slim profile that keeps you closer to the water while maintaining impressive stiffness. Advanced X-woven construction maintains exceptional rigidity, delivering a hardboard-like feel that responds to every stroke. The lower deck height improves balance and control, making the board feel more intuitive and connected. You get the portability and convenience of an inflatable with the performance of a rigid board—no compromise required.

Sized in the Sweet Spot

Whether it's the 9'8 or the 10'6, it lands in the sweet spot for most paddlers. It balances easy stability with efficient glide, so it feels confidence-inspiring without feeling oversized or sluggish. Combined with Byron’s longboard-inspired outline, it becomes the go-to board for almost any adventure: cruising, exploring, fitness paddles, family missions, and the occasional wave.

Heat-Welded Rails

The Byron’s inner rail is bonded first, then mechanically fused with a 20mm PVC strip using heat and pressure welding. This creates a stronger, more reliable seal and greatly reduces the risk of leaks over time, making the risk of board failure virtually zero.

Universal Toolless Fin System

The Byron uses a split fin box for easier rolling, paired with a 9" dolphin fin that locks in with a spring-loaded quick-release plate...No tools needed. Just push down and twist the rectangular plate into position, and you’re ready to paddle. It’s a universal system, so you can run any standard fin, but we’ve refined it with our spring-loaded plate and thumbscrew design for faster setup and a more secure fit.

HONU Battery E-Pump

Designed to take the effort out of every launch. Set your desired PSI, connect the hose, and hit "on" — the pump handles the rest, shutting off automatically the moment your board hits pressure. No more standing over it counting strokes or guessing when you're done; just set it and get ready to paddle.

Element Paddle

The Element Paddle is our most affordable paddle in the range — light, durable, and built with an indestructible nylon blade and carbon shaft that can handle whatever adventure you're on. The carbon shaft-nylon blade pairing means that this paddle is built to take a beating and keep performing. But far from a throwaway: many paddlers hang onto it as their trusted backup long after upgrading to a higher-performance blade.





X-Woven & Fused

LIGHTER. STIFFER. NO COMPROMISE

The drop-stitch fabric in every Honu board is made to order...Exclusively for us. It's the most advanced (and most expensive) drop-stitch material available, and it's the foundation of why Honu boards are independently verified as the lightest and stiffest in their class.

Multiple layers of woven drop-stitch are fused during manufacturing, with polyester threads crisscrossed through the vinyl like carbon fibre. The result is a board that's exceptionally light, remarkably stiff, and delivers a ride closer to a hardboard than any inflatable you've paddled.
