Smaller paddlers will love the light and nimble feel of the board that fits them perfectly without compromising materials or quality. The true all-rounder shape coupled with 4.7" thickness makes it look and feel like a hardboard without all the hassles for the paddler who wants one board to do it all.

Brand new for 2023, the Byron 9'8 is perfect for the smaller paddler. A scaled-down Byron that comes in a 9'8 x 31 x 4.7" will suit anyone less than 75 kg or 165 lbs and shorter than 175cm or 5'8. The Byron is a true all-rounder iSUP designed to deliver confidence in any situation. If you can only have one board, grab a Byron.

Weighing in at just 7.6 Kg, while feeling like a hardboard on the water, is what sets this board apart. The Byron 9'8 comes with our heavy-duty Bag Pack, leash and tooless centre fin that easily clicks into place. You can then choose to bundle in the pump and/or paddle of your choice, allowing you to fine-tune your SUP package to your exact needs.

The Byron is crafted with our industry-leading X-Woven & Fused drop-stitch material with our triple-bonded rails. The combination of high pressure, reinforced rails, and 4.7" thickness produces a stable iSUP with hardboard-like performance while still managing to be the lightest in its category...

4 YEAR TOTAL CARE WARRANTY

We will repair or replace your board, new-for-old, if there are any manufacturing issues within the first four years, including loose seams, faulty valves, or traction pad delamination.

X-WOVEN & FUSED DROP STITCH

Multiple layers of woven drop stitch are fused during the manufacturing process, where the polyester threads running through the vinyl are crisscrossed, similar to carbon fibre, making it light & stiff.

TRIPLE BONDED RAILS

Found on the Bondi, Byron and Fairlight, this rail construction adds stiffness and durability to the boards. Quite simply, where standard boards have two rail layers, Honu has three.

UNIVERSAL FIN SYSTEM

A universal fin system allows the paddler to try different fins to fine-tune the board's performance across various conditions. It also allows for quick replacement should the need arise.

TEXTURED DIAMOND TRACTION

Combining the tactile feel of a diamond grove with the grip of an alligator pattern provides the paddler with a confidence-inspiring platform that feels soft yet solid underfoot.

Almost like a solid board.

My wife and I are beginners, a couple of lessons on solid boards bu t decided to go with the Byron for ease of travel, set up and storage. The boards are light, very stiff, easily manoeuvrable and exceptionally well made. I ordered from Perth on Sunday and the boards arrived on the following Thursday. Very happy with our decision to go with the brand and with our selection of board.

Byron 9.8

Loving my first board, still getting used to the balance required on a smaller board, but for novice I am doing ok, I am petite and not strong so I wanted slightly smaller to be able to carry it inflated to the water's edge. Hoping I suddenly become fit and strong! Love that it is in my favourite earthy colours, :)

I bought this board for my wife and she has been out on it everyday since Christmas and absolutely loves it, little hard to get use to as she was on a 10.2 but has mastered it well

Love my new Byron Outback

This is such a great board for me, due to its light weight, more compact size and thinner profile. It moves along really nicely in the water.

My husband has also used it, and he is some 20kg heavier than me. He found it agile and also stable enough to move around on the board.

Great fun!
