When we set out to design the Bondi, the goal was absolute: create an inflatable that performs like a hardboard, with zero compromise. Eighteen months of development, countless prototypes, and obsessive attention to every detail...From board-specific asymmetrical fin boxes to the precise rocker profile.  The result is a board capable of handling surf of any size with complete confidence.

Available in 8'8" and 9'5", the Bondi is just 4" thick and built with X-woven drop-stitch and Honu's exclusive Welded Carbon Rails. An aggressive outline and rocker work in harmony with a hard PVC rail edge that runs from just ahead of the side fins around the tail. The result? Steep take-offs, powerful bottom turns, and vertical carving that feels shockingly close to glass.

The Futures-compatible fin system includes high-performance Volan fiberglass fins in a twin + 1 setup. 4" Deck

At just 4" thick, the Bondi matches the profile of a composite hardboard—not the bulky 6" construction common in most iSUPs. This slimmer profile lowers your center of gravity, putting you closer to the water for better board feel and more responsive control. You'll notice sharper turns, quicker rail-to-rail transitions, and the confidence to commit to steep drops and powerful bottom turns.

Midsize Funboard Outline

The Bondi's outline blends the paddle power of a longboard with the maneuverability of a shortboard. Solid PVC Rail Edge

A solid PVC rail edge runs from just ahead of the side fins around the entire tail section. Heavy Duty Roller Backpack

The material is 1680D ripstop nylon, which is extremely durable and repairable. One of the first things you will notice when you put the bag on your back is how chunky the shoulder straps, waist belt, and buckles are. Everything is over-engineered and designed to last.

Performance Built Into Every Layer

The rail construction is where engineering meets obsession. We heat-and-pressure weld 3K carbon fiber directly into the inner rail layer—the most critical component for a leak-proof, rigid board. It's a demanding process requiring two experienced technicians working in perfect sync to ensure the welded strip runs flawlessly around the entire perimeter.

The result? The stiffest possible rail layup, with leak and return rates so low they're almost non-existent. An outer rail layer is then bonded for added rigidity and abrasion resistance, ensuring the board performs flawlessly session after session, year after year.
