The Byron was launched in 2020 and quickly became the in-demand paddleboard in Australia. Not being content with great, we decided to take Byron to the next level. The new Byron boasts several refinements and one major technology upgrade that puts it into a category all on its own. The Byron is the Swiss army knife of inflatable paddleboards, designed to be a true all-rounder. Whether heading out for a flatwater cruise with your dog or starting your day with SUP yoga and a relaxing paddle, the Byron has you covered. Feeling excited about catching some local waves?... This 4.7" thick inflatable SUP keeps you connected to the water and better able to respond to the swirls and ripples than a standard 6" board does. This connection provides the comfort and confidence to push boundaries at any skill level and ultimately improve your paddling experience.
The Byron adopts our industry-leading X-Woven & Fused drop-stitch material with our triple-bonded rails. The combination of high pressure, reinforced rails, and 4.7" thickness produce a stable iSUP with the hardboard-like performance it has become famous for. This innovative material produces a board that is around 2Kg (4.4 lbs) lighter than comparable high-performance boards, making it easy to transport and move around.

We will repair or replace your board, new-for-old, if there are any manufacturing issues within the first four years, including loose seams, faulty valves, or traction pad delamination.
Multiple layers of woven drop stitch are fused during the manufacturing process, where the polyester threads running through the vinyl are crisscrossed, similar to carbon fibre, making it light & stiff.
Found on the Bondi, Byron and Fairlight, this rail construction adds stiffness and durability to the boards. Quite simply, where standard boards have two rail layers, Honu has three.
A universal fin system allows the paddler to try different fins to fine-tune the board's performance across various conditions. It also allows for quick replacement should the need arise.
Combining the tactile feel of a diamond grove with the grip of an alligator pattern provides the paddler with a confidence-inspiring platform that feels soft yet solid underfoot.
The Honu Byron exceeded expectations as an all round iSUP. Honu have definitely thought about their design of this board and how it is going to perform for the everyday paddler. The 4.7″ design gives you added stability, whilst the front and rear handles are a welcome addition.
