Bloody Awesome!

These boards are epic!.

In 2019, Honu made a deliberate call: walk away from composite boards and build the world's best inflatables. The Bondi proved that right. But the pull of carbon, glass, and a board that truly comes alive under your feet never went away. The Torquay is our return... Not a step back, but a leap forward.

To do it properly, we partnered with John "Bosch" Atkins of Blue Seas Watersports; A shaper, designer, and surfer with more than 40 years of hands-on experience building and riding SUPs. Mark and John spent 6 months obsessing over the shape: multiple blanks, countless sessions, one shared question: can a high-performance surfing SUP be genuinely fun for any capable paddler? The Torquay is that answer.

Built on a hand-finished precision CNC-machined blank and laminated in 45° biaxial carbon, the Torquay closes the gap between elite performance and everyday stoke. It has the drive, rail sensitivity, and responsiveness of a true high-performance design, without demanding a competition mindset to unlock it. This is what we call Fun-Performance.

Production Schedule

Torquay boards will be produced in small batches and made available to those who register their interest. Production slots for 2026 include: May & September

FUN-PERFORMANCE SHAPE

BECAUSE YOU SHOULDN'T NEED TO BE A PRO TO FEEL THE DIFFERENCE.
Mark and John didn't set out to build a pro-only board. They set out to close the gap between performance and accessibility — a shape with genuine drive, sharp rail response, and enough rocker to handle serious surf, but tuned to reward a wide range of paddlers. Available from [X'X"] to [X'X"], there's a Torquay for every surfer who's tired of riding boards that hold them back.

DECK ARMOUR

BUILT FOR THE DROP.
Most composite SUPs show pressure dings after a single heavy session. The Torquay wont. The entire standing area is laminated with 2mm high-density PVC. Tough enough to absorb aggressive foot placement, steep drops, and years of hard use. You'll feel the board flex and respond underfoot. You won't feel it dent. Built for paddlers who surf hard and don't baby their gear.

CARBON WRAP

LIGHTWEIGHT. RESPONSIVE. ALIVE.
The Torquay is laminated in carbon, lapped fully around the rail. This diagonal orientation maximises torsional stiffness and flex response simultaneously; A board that snaps through turns without feeling brittle, and holds its rail through powerful bottom turns without lag. Carbon lapped at the rail provides seamless strength across the most critical impact zone on a surf SUP. The result isn't just stiff. It's alive.

Warranty & Returns

We stand behind the quality of every composite board we produce. This page outlines our returns policy for transit-damaged goods and our warranty coverage for manufacturing defects.

Returns

We accept returns only for composite boards that have been damaged in transit.

Inspection upon delivery is mandatory.
Please carefully examine the outer packaging at the time of delivery before signing for or accepting your order. Any visible damage to the packaging must be noted on the delivery documentation at the time of receipt.

To be eligible for a return due to transit

  • Damage to the packaging must be documented and noted with the carrier at the time of delivery.
  • Photographic evidence of both the damaged packaging and the board must be submitted within 48 hours of delivery.
  • Claims must be submitted to your original point of purchase — either your authorized dealer or directly to us if purchased through our website.

Please note:
Returns cannot be accepted for boards where packaging damage was not noted at the time of delivery, or where claims are submitted outside the required timeframe. We strongly encourage all customers to thoroughly inspect their board upon arrival and not to discard any packaging until the board has been fully examined.
