Easy, fun and fast!

This is my first paddleboard and I did extensive research before choosing.I'm a petite adult woman and I can set this up myself- even the backpack stuffed with all accessories isn't too heavy. The pumping is a workout but I would consider it a good warmup. Customer service was quick and thoroughly answered my (newbie) questions. I look forward to buying the shorter river fin for this board to explore some shallower areas, but the fin it comes with tracks really well even against the wind.

Byron 9‘8“ Review

I have had this SUP for a couple months now and I believe that it’s the finest inflatable SUP that I’ve ever owned. The construction and design of the board is of the finest quality. The board paddles very similar to a hard board and glides nicely over the water. The board is lightweight and easily packed into its wheeled bag for easy transport. I would highly recommend this board if you’re in the market for an exceptional inflatable SUP.

I love my board!

It's light-weight enough that I can carry it with one hand. I am 5'2" and LOVE how agile the board is. Took it out to the ocean a few times already and love the experience!

Happy with my researched pick.

I had never used Honu products, but after doing a TON of research on boards, materials made to build them and the differences in specs, I decided to go with Honu. I couldn't be happier. All the previous boards I used were okay in the water but a pain for me to carry around due to the size. I'm an average sized female, but some boards were just awkwardly too big for me to carry. The Byron 9'8 is the absolute perfect size for me, and I'm so happy with my purchase. The board is great quality and an absolute gem in the water, the paddle and it's adjustability is outstanding, and the pump had the board filled up in half the time it took the other folks I was with. New Honu fan for life.

The Byron is a great board.

I got this board for my wife who had never stand up paddled before. The conditions for her first session were not so great.. windy and wavy, but she was able to get to her feet within a short time and really enjoy herself. It really is a beautiful board. The design and quality of construction are so good, I could not be happier. Definitely recommend the Byron to someone looking for a great all rounder!

Awesome board for petites like me

This board is perfect for my size at 5’2. So much easier to turn and tracks really well. It’s easier to carry too. I struggled with carrying the board that I learned on which was an 11 and thought about buying a carrying strap. I don’t need one anymore . Customer service from Mark was top notch. Thanks so much!

Heat-Welded Rails

The Byron’s inner rail is bonded first, then mechanically fused with a 20mm PVC strip using heat and pressure welding. This creates a stronger, more reliable seal and greatly reduces the risk of leaks over time, making the risk of board failure virtually zero.

Universal Toolless Fin System

The Byron uses a split fin box for easier rolling, paired with a 9" dolphin fin that locks in with a spring-loaded quick-release plate...No tools needed. Just push down and twist the rectangular plate into position, and you’re ready to paddle. It’s a universal system, so you can run any standard fin, but we’ve refined it with our spring-loaded plate and thumbscrew design for faster setup and a more secure fit.

The material is 1680D ripstop nylon, which is extremely durable and repairable. One of the first things you will notice when you put the bag on your back is how chunky the shoulder straps, waist belt, and buckles are. Everything is over-engineered and designed to last.

X-Woven & Fused

The drop-stitch fabric in every Honu board is made to order...Exclusively for us. It's the most advanced (and most expensive) drop-stitch material available, and it's the foundation of why Honu boards are independently verified as the lightest and stiffest in their class.

Multiple layers of woven drop-stitch are fused during manufacturing, with polyester threads crisscrossed through the vinyl like carbon fibre. The result is a board that's exceptionally light, remarkably stiff, and delivers a ride closer to a hardboard than any inflatable you've paddled.
