Fast, light, beautiful

I am newer to paddleboarding but went with this as my first board since I have a fitness background and the sorrento was recommended to me for my use (fitness/speed). I had the chance to use it after trying a rental board and the difference is crazy -my instructor was commenting on how fast I was able to go on it and how good my forward stroke was, and in my mind I was thinking IT'S THE BOARD. I have used it several times since and love everything about it, tracks great, it's fast, it's super light, it is beautiful. My husband was so jelly that he went and immediately got himself a Honu board (the Fairlight) and is very excited to take it out in the water. Looking forward to using these awesome boards for a long time!

Great board!

I bought the Sorrento 11’3 for my wife who has been using an entry level board. The difference is amazing, faster and more connected to the water. The stiffness and thin (4.7” thick) board make the Sorrento stable even in ocean chop. The customer experience with Honu was great helping us get the correct carbon fibre paddles which are a joy to use.

Fun Board!

I'm really enjoying this board! It's a fast, responsive board with awesome glide. I'm 5'7", 130lbs and found this board at 11'3" and 4.7" thick a good option for me. The deck is very comfortable, front bungees hold my gear and rear bungies hold my flip flops. Also, this board is gorgeous!. I wish it tracked a little better. Mark, if you create a 12'6 board at 4.7", I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

I'm so grateful to Honu for designing such an incredible board at such a reasonable price point. Was exactly the size and design I was looking for. I'm so perplexed why more SUP manufacturers don't make 4-5" thick boards. It's super responsive, easy to maneuver, feels very stable. Looks slick. Mark was super responsive to a question I had. Oh and the backpack it comes with is a genius design, it fit my board, paddle, life jacket, and had some room to spare, and it fits the size limit for checked luggage. I'm obsessed. Thanks Mark!

Heavy Duty Roller Backpack

The material is 1680D ripstop nylon, which is extremely durable and repairable. One of the first things you will notice when you put the bag on your back is how chunky the shoulder straps, waist belt, and buckles are. Everything is over-engineered and designed to last.

X-Woven & Fused

The drop-stitch fabric in every Honu board is made to order...Exclusively for us. It's the most advanced (and most expensive) drop-stitch material available, and it's the foundation of why Honu boards are independently verified as the lightest and stiffest in their class.

Multiple layers of woven drop-stitch are fused during manufacturing, with polyester threads crisscrossed through the vinyl like carbon fibre. The result is a board that's exceptionally light, remarkably stiff, and delivers a ride closer to a hardboard than any inflatable you've paddled.

Welded Carbon Rails

The rail construction is where engineering meets obsession. We heat-and-pressure weld 3K carbon fiber directly into the inner rail layer—the most critical component for a leak-proof, rigid board. It's a demanding process requiring two experienced technicians working in perfect sync to ensure the welded strip runs flawlessly around the entire perimeter.

The result? The stiffest possible rail layup, with leak and return rates so low they're almost non-existent. An outer rail layer is then bonded for added rigidity and abrasion resistance, ensuring the board performs flawlessly session after session, year after year.
