The Evolution Carbon paddle is a very lightweight and solid paddle with a high quality carry bag. The Honu Element paddle is far superior to most entry level SUP paddles. Would highly recommend the Evolution Carbon paddle for those looking for a lighter and very solid paddling experience especially during longer paddles/racing.
Mine weighed in at 634g which is really close to the advertised weight and far less than my other paddles. I haven't even seen any claiming to be this light. The grip at the top is quite large and makes for a relaxed grip and the shaft is a bit over 28mm, which is also a nice size.
The angle and blade shape make for a nice stable paddle stroke with no flutter. I'm not sure it's the most efficient shape for speed or power, but it slips in and out of the water like a knife. I'd call this my zen paddle.
My only problem with this paddle is that it's too nice to take out on the river. When you hit a rock, you will cringe!

After finding a very minor defect in my new paddle Honu promptly mailed out a new paddle that was perfect. They are featherweight light and a pleasure to use. Both the company and the products are top notch.
