The Byron 10'6 has become loved worldwide for its lightweight, rigid feel and confidence-inspiring stability on the water. Refined again for 2023, the new Byron now comes with an upgraded backpack with an ultra-soft padded waist belt for longer walks into secrete paddling spots and a split fin-box system that allows the board to roll up even better than before. The Byron is the go-to paddleboard designed to be capable in the widest range of conditions.

This 4.7" thick inflatable SUP keeps you connected to the water and better able to respond to the swirls and ripples than a standard 6" board and is constructed with our industry-leading X-Woven & Fused drop-stitch material and triple-bonded rails.

The Byron 10'6 does not come with a pump or paddle by default. Instead, you have the choice to bundle them in if needed. This keeps our prices sharp and unwanted products (waste) down. 

Out of the box, the Byron 10'6 includes:

4 YEAR TOTAL CARE WARRANTY

We will repair or replace your board, new-for-old, if there are any manufacturing issues within the first four years, including loose seams, faulty valves, or traction pad delamination.

X-WOVEN & FUSED DROP STITCH

Multiple layers of woven drop stitch are fused during the manufacturing process, where the polyester threads running through the vinyl are crisscrossed, similar to carbon fibre, making it light & stiff.

TRIPLE BONDED RAILS

Found on the Bondi, Byron and Fairlight, this rail construction adds stiffness and durability to the boards. Quite simply, where standard boards have two rail layers, Honu has three.

UNIVERSAL FIN SYSTEM

A universal fin system allows the paddler to try different fins to fine-tune the board's performance across various conditions. It also allows for quick replacement should the need arise.

TEXTURED DIAMOND TRACTION

Combining the tactile feel of a diamond grove with the grip of an alligator pattern provides the paddler with a confidence-inspiring platform that feels soft yet solid underfoot.

The Honu Byron exceeded expectations as an all round iSUP. Honu have definitely thought about their design of this board and how it is going to perform for the everyday paddler. The 4.7″ design gives you added stability, whilst the front and rear handles are a welcome addition.

Excellent board that is stiff and stable

This board is a big step up from your cheap Aqua marina/Kings/Talwahi boards. The board feels more solid and is definitely stiffer. The biggest surprise was maneuverability. Yes, it is a 10'6 board but I could stop and turn much faster than I anticipated. It is stable and the top deck material is high quality. It is unbelievably light which means you can tell the kids to carry it themselves, but does mean it will turn much more in wind than a fiberglass board. I appreciated the quality of the carry bag too. Overall, I think Mark and his team have done an excellent job making an inflatable SUP. If you enjoy SUP'ing, don't buy a cheap board, buy a Honu and you won't regret it.

Love it!

Hunting for a paddle board for a family Christmas present, I was overwhelmed by the choices, but spoke to the fantastic Mark at Honu and was immediately won over by his excellent customer service, engineering knowledge and understanding of what we were looking for. The Byron is awesome! Easy to inflate and deflate and attach the fin. Amazing fun to throw three, even four little kids on in the bay and heaps of fun for adults to go out on on their own. We are impressed by the quality of the product and the fact that Honu is striving to manufacture a sustainable product. Looking forward to lots of happy memories on this board.

So far so good

Only taken out for one trip but was awesome. Easy to carry in large ruck sack bag provided. Used an electric pump and finished with hand pump. Hand pump nice and smooth. Fine to carry as single person without any help once inflated. Really nice to use on the water. Good balance between stability and speed. Easy to manoeuvre. Now prefer to larger and very stable board. Easy to deflate and pack away. Can’t think of anything I don’t like about it!!

Impressive quality !

We ordered 2 Byron 10'6 boards - on a Sunday night 2 weeks out from Chrissy - they arrived in only a few days .. We are extremely impressed with the quality of the boards - they come with easy to follow instructions (that even a blonde such as myself could follow).. Very well packaged with great quality storage bags on wheels which can also be carried like a back pack ! Great fun out on the water - highly recommend ! First time trying SOP and I was standing up like a pro second time I tried :)
