30-Day Risk Free Returns

We offer a 30-day risk-free return on all products in this category, provided they are unused and returned in their original packaging.

To initiate a return, email us at hello@honuboards.com within 30 days of delivery. We will arrange collection and issue a full refund upon receipt and inspection of the item.


Composite Boards
Transit Damage Only

We accept returns on composite boards only where damage has occurred in transit.

Your responsibilities at delivery:

       Inspect the outer packaging thoroughly before signing for or accepting the delivery.

       Note any visible damage on the carrier’s delivery documentation at the time of receipt.

       Photograph both the damaged packaging and the board within 48 hours of delivery.

       Submit your photos and a description of the damage to hello@honuboards.com within 48 hours.

 

Claims submitted without carrier-noted documentation, or outside the 48-hour window, cannot be accepted.

Please retain all packaging until your board has been fully inspected.



Warranty by Product


Inflatable boards — 4-Year Total Care
What is Covered

Manufacturing defects arising from normal recreational use, including:

       Loose or failed seams

       Faulty valves

       Traction pad delamination - we will work to have this repaired.

 

What is Not Covered

       Punctures, cuts, or tears from impact with objects

       Damage caused by over-inflation beyond the recommended PSI

       UV degradation or damage from prolonged direct sun exposure

       Damage from improper storage (stored wet, in extreme heat or cold, or tightly rolled for extended periods)

       Deliberate misuse or abuse

       Damage occurring after a defect has been identified and not reported

If a manufacturing defect is confirmed, we will repair or replace your board new-for-old. Where a repair is the most practical solution, we will arrange this at no cost to you. Where replacement is required, a new board will be dispatched immediately upon confirmation of the defect.

 

Accidental Damage Support

Even if your board is damaged through an accident not covered by warranty, we want to help keep it out of landfill. Upon confirmation of the damage and valid proof of purchase or registration, we will supply the necessary repair materials free of charge and direct you to an authorised repair centre.

 

This support is available once per board and requires valid proof of purchase or board registration.

 

Registration

       Purchased directly from Honu? No registration required — your board is automatically covered.

       Purchased through an authorised retail partner? Registration is required to activate your warranty. Visit honuboards.com/pages/register-your-board to register.

 

Composite Paddleboards — 1-Year Warranty
What is Covered

Manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal recreational use, for one (1) year from the original date of purchase.

 

This warranty applies to the original purchaser only and requires proof of purchase from an authorised dealer or directly from Honu.

 

What is Not Covered

       Delamination caused by heat or prolonged exposure to direct sunlight

       Impact with objects or materials, including ramps and other structures

       Collisions, misuse, abuse, or accidental damage

       Damage occurring during transport, loading, unloading, or handling out of water

       Heel dents or flat landing damage

       Impact with the seafloor

       Damage resulting from prior repairs or pre-existing defects

       Improper storage, including storage in closed or damp conditions

       Exposure to temperatures above 70°C or below 0°C

       Natural events including floods, earthquakes, or fires

       Alterations, modifications, or unauthorised repairs

       Use for non-recreational purposes

       Continued use after a defect has been identified and not reported

       Any damage not directly attributable to a manufacturing defect in materials or workmanship

 

Where a manufacturing defect is confirmed, we will repair, replace, or refund the board at our discretion. If a replacement board is also found to be defective, one further replacement will be provided.

Paddles & Pumps — 2-Year Warranty

What is Covered

Defects in materials or workmanship arising from normal use, for two (2) years from the original date of purchase. Where a defect is confirmed, we will replace the affected component or full unit new-for-old.

What is Not Covered

       Impact damage, including contact with rocks, roads, or other hard surfaces

       Damage from misuse, modification, or improper storage

       Normal wear and tear

 

Accessories & Apparel — 1-Year Warranty

What is Covered

Manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for one (1) year from the original date of purchase.

 

What is Not Covered

       Damage from misuse, impact, or improper care

       Normal wear and tear

       Items damaged through use inconsistent with product guidelines


How to Make a Claim

All warranty claims follow the same process regardless of product type.

 

1.     Gather your information. Before contacting us, please have the following ready:

       Proof of purchase (original invoice or receipt)

       Product name and serial number

       A clear description of the issue, including when it was first noticed and how it occurred

       Photographs showing the full product, the serial number, and close-up images of the defect

 

2.     Submit your claim.

       Purchased directly from Honu: Email hello@honuboards.com with the above information and we will manage your claim directly.

       Purchased through an authorised dealer: Contact your dealer in the first instance. They will submit the claim to us on your behalf.




General Conditions

       All warranties apply to the original purchaser only and are non-transferable.

       Proof of purchase is required for all claims.

       Warranties are void if the product has been modified, repaired by an unauthorised party, or used in a manner inconsistent with its intended purpose.

       Our liability is limited to repair, replacement, or refund of the defective product. We are not liable for any indirect loss, consequential damage, or costs arising from product failure.

       Nothing in this warranty excludes or limits any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection law, including the Australian Consumer Law.
