Second Bondi!

I recently bought a second Bondi, as my first was shared with a friend when we originally planned to use it on our separate holidays.

He eventually decided to buy me out because he wanted to keep it for himself — he actually preferred surfing it to his hardboard SUP!

We had a minor issue with the first board, but Mark and his team sorted it out quickly and without any fuss.

I'm still recommending the Bondi to friends and fellow SUP surfers whenever I'm at the beach. It turns heads when people realise it's an inflatable, and I often end up explaining that it's not your usual iSUP — it's a Honu!

Lors de la conception du nouveau SUP surf Bondi, l'objectif était de produire une planche sans compromis dont les performances seraient aussi proches que possible de celles d'une planche équivalente en fibre de verre. Après plus de 18 mois de développement, la nouvelle Bondi est destinée aux puristes du surf. Chaque détail, jusqu'aux boîtiers d'ailerons spécifiques à la planche, a été conçu pour produire une planche capable de surfer en toute confiance, quelle que soit la taille du surf.

Disponible en deux tailles, 8'8 et 9'5. Les deux tailles font 32" de large et seulement 4" d'épaisseur, construites avec notre matériau X-woven et Welded Carbon Rails exclusifs à Honu. Les deux tailles ont un outline et un rocker agressifs qui sont renforcés par un bord de rail dur qui se termine juste devant les ailerons de la quille Volan. Tous ces éléments contribuent à rendre les take-offs raides et des bottom turns puissants faciles à réaliser.

Les SUP surfeurs apprécieront le temps passé à développer le système d'ailerons compatible Futures qui comprend des ailerons performants en fibre de verre. Le dispositif jumeaux+1 est conçu pour permettre au surfeur d'ajuster sa ride. Commence avec les trois ailerons pour plus de stabilité, mais en enlevant l'aileron central et en laissant les jumeaux, on obtient une ride rapide et souple que les adeptes de SUP expérimentés vont adorer.

4" Deck

At just 4" thick, the Bondi matches the profile of a composite hardboard—not the bulky 6" construction common in most iSUPs. This slimmer profile lowers your center of gravity, putting you closer to the water for better board feel and more responsive control. Midsize Funboard Outline

Heavy Duty Roller Backpack

The material is 1680D ripstop nylon, which is extremely durable and repairable. One of the first things you will notice when you put the bag on your back is how chunky the shoulder straps, waist belt, and buckles are. Everything is over-engineered and designed to last.

Performance Built Into Every Layer

The rail construction is where engineering meets obsession. We heat-and-pressure weld 3K carbon fiber directly into the inner rail layer—the most critical component for a leak-proof, rigid board. It's a demanding process requiring two experienced technicians working in perfect sync to ensure the welded strip runs flawlessly around the entire perimeter.

The result? The stiffest possible rail layup, with leak and return rates so low they're almost non-existent. An outer rail layer is then bonded for added rigidity and abrasion resistance, ensuring the board performs flawlessly session after session, year after year.
