Incredibly versatile, perfect for petite AND taller paddlers!

As a petite woman (5'1") learning to paddleboard in the ocean, this board has been an absolute success! It is lightweight enough for me to carry easily, yet incredibly stable and balanced once I'm on the water.I bought it back in 2024 and have been out paddling in the Pacific Ocean as often as the waves and wind permit.
My partner, who is 5'11", has the exact same board and loves it just as much. It handles his height and weight just as smoothly as it handles mine. Highly recommend for both petite and taller humans!
And the customer service was just a good, fast response and great prices.

Brilliant board!

The Byron has been a great board! This was my first paddle board and I love the stability but consistent tracking in the water. Plenty of straps for storage out and about and the carry bag is brilliant for storing not only the board but paddle and PFD! Everything is solid construction and i trust will be fun for years to come!

Midwest Lake Paddling

I recently bought the Honu Byron paddleboard after doing a lot of research. I wasn't initially looking to buy an inflatable, but I am very happy with my choice. I use it mostly in the Midwest on a large lake. The weather hasn't fully cooperated so I have been paddling in windy and higher wave conditions most of the time. The board has been more stable and easier to maneuver than I expected. Very happy with the Honu Byron!

Very sweet

Very sweet, starting with the packaging. I finally got to use Byron last week. First time paddle boarding at 75. Pump is amazing, and my board packed easily back into its bag!

New version is a slight downgrade

The "NEW" version of this board removed the rear kick pad which is unfortunate, and the new center handle feels weak compared to the old one. The only noticeable improvement is an extra bungie strap. Still a great board but I wish I had gotten my hands on the older version.

So good I bought a second Honu Board!

I bought a Fairlight last year and had such a great experience with how premium the board and paddle performed that I decided to buy a second board this year- I went with the Byron and could not be happier with the refinements to the new model year. Though the dimensions are subtly smaller it's amazing how much faster and agile it is. Well done Honu Team!

Sized in the Sweet Spot

Whether it's the 9'8 or the 10'6, it lands in the sweet spot for most paddlers. It balances easy stability with efficient glide, so it feels confidence-inspiring without feeling oversized or sluggish. Combined with Byron’s longboard-inspired outline, it becomes the go-to board for almost any adventure: cruising, exploring, fitness paddles, family missions, and the occasional wave.

Heat-Welded Rails

The Byron’s inner rail is bonded first, then mechanically fused with a 20mm PVC strip using heat and pressure welding. This creates a stronger, more reliable seal and greatly reduces the risk of leaks over time, making the risk of board failure virtually zero.

Universal Toolless Fin System

The Byron uses a split fin box for easier rolling, paired with a 9" dolphin fin that locks in with a spring-loaded quick-release plate...No tools needed. Just push down and twist the rectangular plate into position, and you’re ready to paddle. It’s a universal system, so you can run any standard fin, but we’ve refined it with our spring-loaded plate and thumbscrew design for faster setup and a more secure fit.

Heavy Duty Roller Backpack

The material is 1680D ripstop nylon, which is extremely durable and repairable. One of the first things you will notice when you put the bag on your back is how chunky the shoulder straps, waist belt, and buckles are. Everything is over-engineered and designed to last.

X-Woven & Fused

LIGHTER. STIFFER. NO COMPROMISE

The drop-stitch fabric in every Honu board is made to order...Exclusively for us. It's the most advanced (and most expensive) drop-stitch material available, and it's the foundation of why Honu boards are independently verified as the lightest and stiffest in their class.

Multiple layers of woven drop-stitch are fused during manufacturing, with polyester threads crisscrossed through the vinyl like carbon fibre. The result is a board that's exceptionally light, remarkably stiff, and delivers a ride closer to a hardboard than any inflatable you've paddled.
