THE BYRON ESCAPE PACK
Everything you need. One checkout.

Board. Paddle. Pump. And the brand-new Kona 25 to carry the rest of your day. We've never bundled the Byron before, and we've only built 100 of these. When they're gone, they're gone.

What's in the pack

  • Byron 9'8 — our most-loved board. 4.7" thick so you ride closer to the water, 32" wide so you stay on it, and made smaller for lighter paddlers. Ships with backpack, leash, fin and 4-year Total Care warranty.
  • Element Paddle — 3K carbon shaft, 790g, and a nylon blade that's near impossible to kill. Breaks into three, comes with its own case.
  • Your choice of pump — the Honu Battery E-pump (12VDC or USB-C, with an internal battery), or the SUPer double-action hand pump with high-volume and high-pressure modes.
  • Kona 25 Dry Backpack — brand new, never bundled. Roll-top, taped seams, 450D ripstop. Towel, change of clothes, lunch, layers, two bottles. Everything the board doesn't carry.

VERSATILE OUTLINE

Stability without compromise.
Shaped like a classic longboard surfboard, the Byron is built to feel confidence-inspiring across the widest range of conditions, from calm water cruising to playful small-wave sessions. The 32" width carries forward without tapering away too early, giving you a stable, planted platform that feels predictable when the water gets bumpy. A squared-off tail adds even more stability and makes step-back turns feel approachable, so you can progress your technique without the board feeling twitchy or demanding.

LIGHT & RIGID

Strength without the weight.
The Byron hits the rare intersection of being genuinely lightweight, yet impressively rigid and responsive on the water, and that pairing is a big reason it’s loved worldwide. At just 7.6 kg (16.7 lbs), it’s easy to carry, pack, and move around on the beach, but once you’re paddling it feels crisp underfoot, not soft or springy. Every stroke feels more efficient, every weight shift more direct, and the board stays composed when conditions change.

BUNDLED WITH THE BASICS

All you need to get on the water.
The Byron is a top pick for first-timers and experienced paddlers. This bundle pairs it with everything else you need: a paddle, a pump, and a bag to carry it all, so you can go straight to the water without missing a thing. No overthinking.

X-Woven & Fused

LIGHTER. STIFFER. NO COMPROMISE

The drop-stitch fabric in every Honu board is made to order...Exclusively for us. It's the most advanced (and most expensive) drop-stitch material available, and it's the foundation of why Honu boards are independently verified as the lightest and stiffest in their class.

Multiple layers of woven drop-stitch are fused during manufacturing, with polyester threads crisscrossed through the vinyl like carbon fibre. The result is a board that's exceptionally light, remarkably stiff, and delivers a ride closer to a hardboard than any inflatable you've paddled.

Warranty & Returns

We stand behind the quality of every composite board we produce. This page outlines our returns policy for transit-damaged goods and our warranty coverage for manufacturing defects.

Returns

We accept returns only for composite boards that have been damaged in transit.

Inspection upon delivery is mandatory.
Please carefully examine the outer packaging at the time of delivery before signing for or accepting your order. Any visible damage to the packaging must be noted on the delivery documentation at the time of receipt.

To be eligible for a return due to transit
damage, the following conditions must be met:

  • Damage to the packaging must be documented and noted with the carrier at the time of delivery.
  • Photographic evidence of both the damaged packaging and the board must be submitted within 48 hours of delivery.
  • Claims must be submitted to your original point of purchase — either your authorized dealer or directly to us if purchased through our website.

Please note:
Returns cannot be accepted for boards where packaging damage was not noted at the time of delivery, or where claims are submitted outside the required timeframe. We strongly encourage all customers to thoroughly inspect their boardupon arrival and not to discard any packaging until the board has been fully examined.

How Ordering Works
The Torquay is built in small batches. The first drop has just a handful of boards in each size. That’s intentional. Every board is produced under the watchful eye of John who has been making boards for more than fifty years. There are no shortcuts, and there’s no warehouse full of stock sitting on a shelf waiting.

Where we can ship
Due to carrier restrictions and cost on oversized composite boards, we can currently only deliver to the following states:
West Coast — California, Oregon, Washington
Northeast — Maine, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts
Southeast — Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina
South — Arizona, Texas

Pre-order
Lock in your board with a 25% deposit. Stock is limited; pre-ordering is the only way to secure your place. Check the estimated ship-out date before ordering so you can plan ahead.

Balance due before dispatch
When your board is ready, we’ll collect the remaining balance before it ships.

Delivery
Your board ships from our US warehouse , no international freight, no surprise duties. Delivery is curbside and requires a signature. We’ll coordinate day and time with you directly.

Next production run: September.
We already have people on waitlist. Pre-order a Torquay now to secure yours before they do.
