I have a Byron Genesis from 2020. I paddleboard in spring, summer, fall, and winter when conditions allow in the Pacific Northwest. The board is very stable and I have never fallen off even with a toddler bopping around on the front or floating down the river. I have used it on the ocean, on lakes, and in rivers. I rarely sit and usually stand (especially in winter when fully dressed!) and have always felt stable. I selected the Byron based on its weight. I needed something I could hike into lakes or carry to the river on my own. Being more manageable meant more paddle boarding! I only used the manual pump once and got a shark pump - I definitely recommend going the electric pump route!
