I've been using the Honu Element Paddle for a while now and honestly couldn't be happier with it. Super lightweight, solid construction, and it feels really responsive in the water. Whether I'm cruising on flat water or dealing with a bit of chop, it just performs exactly how you'd want a paddle to.
What really stood out though was the service from Honu. Mark is an absolute legend—super helpful, easy to deal with, and genuinely passionate about getting people on the right gear. Customer service these days can be hit or miss, but the communication and support from Honu were next level from start to finish.
It's always nice supporting a company that backs up great products with great people. Stoked with the paddle and stoked with the whole experience. Highly recommend the Honu Element Paddle to anyone looking for quality gear and top-notch customer care.
Paddle is stiff and light. Way better than similarly priced paddles I have used and makes the usual kit paddles you get with other brands feel like a toy.
Finaly got some warm weather and got out on my new board. She is awesome! A little less stable than in expected bur im sure ill get used too it
a swell paddle!
My wife loves her board. She got it for her birthday from family and friends and tried it on the water yesterday and loved the look and feel of it.
Although 2 ounces heavier than my prior 2-piece carbon paddle, keeping it as I enjoy the touch of color in the design and the paddle width slightly less than my prior so a bit less pressure on the shoulder paddling. Nice case for protection.
We live on a small inland lake. My only other experience with an inflatable paddle board, is with a freeboard our neighbor have us when she got divorced.
Thatboard was probably in the $350-$400 dollar range. Not a terrible board. But the Honu is BY FAR the better inflatable experience! So much more rigid and maneuverability! I love it, and if we buy a 3rd board for our son or guests, I would not hesitate at all to buy another board from Honu!
The board is a hit with my wife who I gifted it too as well as the kids who all paddled tirelessly along the Byron foreshore. Very happy with the board.
It is easy to assemble the paddle and the middle link.
However, the middle link and the handle do not fit well at first.
So loosen the mid-connector lock screw very little by little and connect it to the handle, set the paddle vertically, press it with your hand to make sure the handle doesn't fit, and fix the screw.
It's very nice that the handle doesn't rotate
I absolutely love this inflatable stand-up paddle board! It’s lightweight, easy to inflate, and super sturdy on the water. The design is sleek, and the non-slip deck provides great stability—even for beginners like me. The paddle is powerful, durable and adjustable, making it perfect for all heights. It’s compact when deflated, so storage and transport are a breeze. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy paddle boarding without the hassle of a hard board!
The Element Paddle combines a virtually indestructible nylon blade with the same high-quality carbon composite shaft. The carbon shaft not only makes the paddle lighter and stronger, it features a flex pattern that is easier on the paddler and more responsive in the water, making it easy for beginners to become confident paddlers.
The reinforced nylon blade is the most durable blade type available and will stand up to the harshest treatment. Reinforcing ribs run from the shaft connection down the center to produce a strong and responsive blade.
Like all Honu products, the Element Paddle is designed to last and isn't a throw-away entry-level paddle often found in the market. Long after paddlers decide to upgrade to a higher performance carbon blade, the Element remains a reliable back-up option.
