Paddleboards

The Honu inflatable paddleboard collection has been updated for the 2024 season with several enhancements, including a unique technological update and a new compact SUP. The Fairlight and Byron models now feature newly developed bungee anchors that provide a wider footprint, allowing for a larger cargo area. Furthermore, we have partnered with Air-7 to create a new split finbox system that allows for any standard fin to be fitted, while still enabling the board to be rolled up tightly for storage and transportation.

The Honu Evolution Series of Inflatable stand-up paddleboards has been on the market for three years now. These paddleboards are specially designed to offer high-performance and stylish design. Each board in the series has a unique shape, size, construction, and material that serves a specific purpose. The primary goal is to provide an exceptional experience while you're on the water. Whether you're planning a multi-day tour, surfing at a local beach, or starting your day with yoga, Honu iSUPs are the perfect choice for you.

Our Honu inflatable paddleboards are crafted with an exclusive X-woven and fused drop-stitch material, which is custom-made for us. This unique material makes our iSUPs lightweight, approximately 2Kgs (4.4lbs) lighter than MSL double-layer alternatives, yet more rigid. Our woven thread reinforces the plastic, providing higher performance compared to standard double layer boards with knitted patterns. The X-woven material has a carbon weave-like appearance, and it's resistant to flex and stretch. It also has less space for plastic, making it much lighter than other options. It's a win-win situation!

Unique Technology

At Honu, we strive for perfection in product design. Welded carbon rails technology has allowed us to produce one of the stiffest iSUP boards ever tested.

The Honu Sorrento is a favourite the world over.

New for 2023 - Seaton 10'8 Compact SUP

Introducing the Seaton - a versatile and compact SUP that combines the renowned performance of the Byron with a smaller design. Measuring only 10'8" x 32.5", it can accommodate almost anyone, and its backpack is 40% smaller than a full-size bag, making it easy to transport and store. Whether you have limited storage space or are planning an exciting road trip, the Seaton is perfect for your needs.

The Seaton is a complete package that includes a 4-piece Evolution Carbon paddle and a carry case that matches the board bag, making it easy to hit the water. The Bravo Double Mini Pump is designed to quickly and powerfully inflate paddleboards, ensuring you're ready to go in no time. These features make the Seaton the best compact SUP in terms of quality and performance.

Why Customers Love Honu Inflatable Boards

Honu boards are adored by paddlers for their lightweight design, even when they are fully loaded with paddles and pumps in the carrying bag. Compared to other popular brands, Honu boards can weigh up to 5 Kg or 12 lbs less, which makes transportation to the water much easier. Once you are on the water, you will be amazed by how similar Honu boards feel and look compared to fiberglass boards. They are highly responsive and rigid, which enhances your overall experience.

Why Does Honu Only Make Inflatable Paddleboards?

I can see that you have a great question that deserves a thoughtful answer. While many SUP brands come and go, Honu has been manufacturing paddleboards for over 20 years. Until 2020, we focused primarily on fiberglass boards, along with surfboards and malibu surfboards. After careful consideration of the pros and cons, we decided to shift our focus entirely to creating the best inflatable paddleboards possible. Our aim was to elevate the Honu brand from just being okay to being the best. We believed that inflatable technology offered the most potential in terms of accessibility and reach, and we wanted to lead the market in this regard. We were convinced that high-quality iSUPs could provide a unique and enjoyable experience on the water, offering opportunities that traditional glass boards couldn't. Therefore, we decided to go all-in on inflatable paddleboards.

Why We Don't Include a Paddle or Pump in your SUP Package

Honu is unique among brands as it does not provide a paddle or pump by default in its package. This decision was made after much deliberation and careful consideration. While most low to mid-level quality products include a paddle, Honu decided not to include one for two main reasons.

Firstly, we believe in providing our customers with the best possible experience on the water by offering them options that suit their needs. We do not want to include a paddle that may not be the right choice for many. We are currently considering two options. One is to include a high-end paddle, which would increase the price and may not be desirable for budget-conscious customers. Alternatively, we can offer a basic entry-level paddle, which is a common choice among other brands.

So, considering all factors, we would only get it right around 30% of the time. This is why we leave it to you to bundle in the right paddle for you.

Secondly, our high-quality Honu pumps are designed to last, so you only need one per household. If you are ordering two or more SUPs, purchasing another pump would be unnecessary and a waste of money. We also give our customers the option to choose between an electric or hand pump.

Ultimately, The choice is yours.
