Honu was born among the curling waves of Bondi Beach, Australia, in 2001. Re-launched in 2019 under new ownership and a new range of products, the Honu team continues to embrace Bondi’s bohemian roots.

The spirit of Honu lies in our connection to the water, whether that be the beach, ocean, lakes or rivers. They, like us, are all connected. The Honu team is passionate about making products to inspire everyone to fall in love with the ocean and outdoors because there is nothing quite like the ocean for helping to connect us to ourselves and our place in the world.

The Honu brand now includes a range of products designed from the ground up, supported by a team dedicated to making Honu customers feel like they are part of something special... Because they are.

Relying on Mark's skills as an industrial engineer and a love of the ocean, the team behind Honu believe that paddlebarding and the lifestyle it creates is something everyone should be able to experience. Every product is designed from the ground up, carefully considering every detail, component and construction method. Products are designed to perform at the highest standard for their specific purpose.

We believe that paddleboarding will become the world's most popular watersport and hope that Honu products can be used and enjoyed by people of all ages, fitness levels and abilities to get out on the water and unplug from our busy modern life. We also strive to provide a level of customer service that will become the industry benchmark. Our principle here is simple, we treat every customer as if they are our first and only one.

Honu strives to meet the challenge of fulfilling customers' needs while protecting our environment as best we can. This includes an annual pledge to environmental groups, offsetting our last-mile delivery emissions and designing greener packaging for all our products.
